Promoter Don King has made roughly $2 billion ripping off boxers over the last 40 plus years. The wealthiest boxer has been Mike Tyson although he has more than blown every cent of it. He is in debt and almost bankrupt.

If you mean who made the most from purses, then it's Tyson without a doubt. The only fighter to come close would be Holyfield, but you have to remember that Holyfield started his career at cruiserweight and so you'd have to discount the first three years or so of his pro career.

Tyson made the most $$$$ but if you put the dollar value at when the fighter fought then Jack Johnson made the most money of any fighter ever.....again that's only when you compare dollar values today vs. yesteryear
