i suppose they can. I didn't realise until i got angry at my other half for being too nice. And then he said to me too 'it's my fault! i shouldn't be too nice!' And he's right! People don't have to be too nice like they don't make their opinions heard etc

Warning - this can be used as an excuse to "nicely" fob a guy off.
From the answers above, you can already see that girls are very different and a general rule doesn't work. I am afraid you'll just have to assess each girl as an individual. I had an ex who was used to being treated badly and being treated nicely caused her anxiety - perverse I know. If you are over-accommodating then you have to ask yourself if such a one-sided relationship is really healthy. So a guy can be too nice. If you are a nice guy then this can be hard to accept!

I like nice guys, so there's nothing wrong with nice guys, but I also like confident guys. Some guys let others walk all over them, and that is due to being too nice. You should learn to speak up and have an opinion. I think there are certain ways to go about things. You don't have to be mean or rude, and there are some things you keep to yourself, but don't let someone walk all over you though. I know someone who is nice and sometimes a little to nice. When something needs to be said, he won't tell it like it is, because he wasn't raised to disrespect, but if someone is walking all over you, there needs to be a point made. Be careful too, because many will take advantage of your weakness and use you.

Yes. In more way that one. Not sure which way you mean, but for instance:
Inviting a girl along as your guest with a group of friends when you know the girl has feelings for you, JUST to be nice...it hurts her later.
Giving and giving and giving to a girl who is taking advantage of you, won't be good for either person later either.
Also, I have a friend that until I told him to stop touching me would give random back rubs, hugs, etc. I knew he didn't mean anything by it at all, and it offended him when I asked him to stop, but sometimes being too nice can make a girl or others feel uncomfortable.

You know I never thought I would think so but after years of experience I sadly think its true. I think the key is confidence. Men who agree with everything and go out of their way to be nice just seem to have no personality. But a nice man who is confident enough to speak his mind and say no if he doesn't want to do something earns more respect from me.
Please don't be fooled in to thinking that you have to be mean to get women, just be more assertive and less needy and the right woman will come along.
Learn to love yourself and people will love you too x

u can be too nice but that is equal to how women get treated were are called doormats. So still be nice but just be cautious of your niceness because there are some scandalous women out there that can dog you out . Just learn the phrase NO !!! but don't become hard you get what I'm saying.. I am still a nice chic but i have mastered NO!! AN i am respected much more than being the needy nice girl. Don't get used OK , be the same just use CAUTION.....PROCEED WITH CAUTION WITH MEAN GIRLS WHOM USE NICE PPL

Sorry mate, you can be too nice, I learnt my lesson a long time ago,
Gals may claim to want loving tenderness, but its when you
treat em mean,
you keep em keen....
and thats a fact!
