Put 6 to 8 tea bags into a jug and set out in the sun for a couple hours or until it's as dark as you want it. Do not add sugar to the water because that is an abomination to tea... you can all all that stuff afterward if you really must.

For flavored tea, I like to replace Bigalow's Constant Comment for half of the regular tea.

I am a true ice tea drinker and this is the best recipe I have found. I make ice tea in a 1/2 gal pitcher:

put 5 tea bags in a pot and boil. (I use Lipton or Red Rose, Tetly is good if you can find it) Get it to a rapid boil and turn off. Put 1 cup of sugar in the pitcher and pour the tea into the pitcher and stur.

You can pour the tea over Ice, I use crushed ice I find it is the best. Refrigerate the tea

It is important to make it strong enough. I am from the South and iced tea is the national drink there (or is it mint juleps?)

Get about 10 tea bags of good black tea like Lipton tea. Put them in a pot of about 1-1/2 quarts of water and bring the water to a boil. After it boils, turn off the stove and let the tea come back to room temperature. Then remove the tea bags-squeeze the bags into the pot of tea--and then sweeten the tea if you want it sweet. It is easier to dissolve the sugar before the tea gets cold. Then put the tea in a pitcher in the fridge to cool and serve over ice. The tea will be good and strong and won't melt the ice too fast.

Hi MarlbOro,

Add 8 tea bags to a gallon jar set it in the sun for 4 hours you have sun tea then add sugar to taste anywhere from 1/2 cup to 1 cup, remove the tea bags, pour into glasses you can add mint, lemon, raspberries, oranges, limes or add any of the fruit to gallon jug & let it sit in the sun longer. This can be refrigator afterwords. Have a good day!

Get an iced tea maker from any store, put 3 family size tea bags into the brew cup, add water, and then put 1 cup of sugar into the pitcher as the water brews so your sugar will melt. Add water to the fill line and its great tea! We use our iced tea maker every other day!

The best way is in a small saucepan on top of the stove. Boil the water, then drop teabags in, and let them boil until the water is medium dark, then take out the teabags, and Pour the tea into a pitcher of cold water, sweeten, while hot and stir! Some good stuff, I can tell you. And Luzianne is the best.......
