poor point, sometimes it is better to let people think you are stupid than to ask a question like this and confirm it.

If you mean he came telling you he "has" the truth, and brought a bible over trying to share the love of Jesus with you, then I can try to help. If I'm completely off base, then I'm sorry...lol.

No one can tell you if you should believe him. Not every book in the world is truth just because it's in print. But I happen to believe in Jesus and the Bible, not because it is in print, and not because people tell me to, but because I have seen evidence of God's existance, and I have felt Jesus's love.

What I suggest is that you don't listen to anyone on here telling you not to listen or even those telling you that you have to believe. Go listen to your friend, read the book he has and decide for YOURSELF if you believe what the word says. It's not so much if you believe what your friend says, many Christians are misguided in so many ways. What matters if if you believe what the Bible says.

As you hear what your friend has to tell you and as you read the words that God has given us, you will feel him tugging at your heart. Believe me, I know. It's up to you if you want to listen or not. No one should tell you that you should or shouldn't believe, it's all up to you. That is the choice that God gave us when He created us.

Please just keep an open mind and look at it for yourself. Then make your decision if you want to believe or throw it away.

I have been a Christian for 10 years now. I've had times where I was extremely close to Christ to the point I could hear Him speak, and I've also had just as many times when I was fallen and I didn't feel any closer to Him as I did before I got saved. All I know is that I love Him, and I know He loves us enough to die for us despite knowing how much we'd fall over our lives. Following Him has brought peace and blessings to my life that I never had before I got saved, but it didn't take the heartaches away completely. Never get that misconception. We still live in the world, we will still have problems. Following Him just makes it easier. It also fills a void in our hearts that we cannot fill ourselves.

I did not mean to sound like I was preaching, I was just giving my own experience. I just hope that you will look into it and make the choice for yourself. No one, not even Jesus, is forcing you to believe, we only hope that you will. The ultimate choice is up to you.

Good luck.

you are the truth - the truth lies within, if it comes to you from outside yourself it is not the truth
everything that is in print is not necessarly true - read some good poetry, you'll understand

okay,let me get this straight:
he said he is the truth???
Jesus is the truth!
no-man is the truth!!!
yes,we have many versions of the Bible, but as a christian,it strengthens my spirit!
As for you believing in Jesus, look for him in your Spirit!
let his word give you meaning.
let his Spirit meet your spirit halfway!
can you not meet Jesus halfway???
i know ya,got it in ya~~~
God Bless

Yes. As long as the book was old and moldy.

And you should send it my way so it can be flushed with the rest.
