What a cute little angel-face she has. Kudos to you for saving such a sweet puppy. She definately looks like a Rottweiler and by her current size and the size of her paws I would say she's going to get pretty big (probably 70-80 lbs). As far as her temperment goes, most mixed breads tend to have a pretty even temperment. Just make sure that she gets all her necessary shots as soon as possible and start socializing her with other dogs and people, people, people! Make sure she gets comfortable around other people by taking her places with crowds, take her to different peoples' house-friends, family, etc and if you can try taking her to work with you. Get her exposed to as many situations as possible so later on she won't have a negative reaction to any situation she's put in. Good luck!

Looks like my Baby that I had for 15 yrs. She was a mix breed, same colors and same size at that age. She wad found near a trash dumpster. She was the best dog I ever had. She was a litte skiddish which I blame on the fact that she had been beed abused in some way and then her being left on her own. She was loyal, loveable. a little overprotective at times but, never really aggressive. Most people knew she would run if they said Boo to her but, strangers didn't know, so she was a great watchdog. She grew to be a medium sized dog about the size of a collie without all the fur. I love the colors, brown and black are very beautiful markings.
My Baby ended up with tumors that spread to her lymph nodes. We had a few removed over the later years but when I felt she was hurting and her quality of life was headed downwards i couldn't be selfish and keep her around just to make myself feel better. She is in doggie heaven and I will see her there one of these days where she will smile at me, she did that too when she got really happy! Have lots of great years!

It doesn't have the sturdy build of a rottweiler. The only rott I see is the coloring and several breeds have the same black and tan markings - miniature pinschers, dachsunds, dobermans, mixed German shepherds, etc. I've even seen black and tan shelties like that but with much fluffier hair. The pup is adorable but even the feet are small so I don't think you have to worry about it growing to a huge size. I hope you enjoy him for many years to come. If he is a lab mix he'll probably have a very affectionate temperament.

This puppy definitely has the markings of a Rottweiler. It may be a labrador/rottweiler mix. It does not have german shepherd looks or ears so it must not be that. You can tell the size by the size of the feet. It will probably be the size of a labrador. Thanks for sharing your photos and asking your questions.

rott/shepherd would be my guess. She will probably be fairly large. Her feet don't look enormous or anything...so maybe not too big. They usually grow into their feet. Rotties and shepherds can both be stubborn breeds, make sure and get her in a training class when she is old enough. It is best to start training her young so no bad habits have a chance to form. Good luck!

Definitely has rottweiler in it. I think it looks like it is mostly rottweiler. I had a rottie mix and it looked just like yours when she was a pup. She just died a few months ago at 12 years old. She was mixed with lab but she was 80 percent rottie. Yours looks like it is at least 80 percent rottie also. My dog was a very good watch dog. She was mellow, loved to just lie around. She was very smart, learned quickly. She weighed 120 pounds.

i'm good with these kinds of things.
these are my breeds that i think are in your dog:
rotweiler (definitely)
jack russel terrior (that's wear the shorter snout and the long tail come from)
german shepard i doubt because except for the color combination, the facial features, body type, and coat are very different.
sizes will vary, but if im right, a rotweiler will grow to be pretty BIG (over 100 pounds), but a jack russel terrior only grows to be about 30 pounds and pretty small.
temperament for both these dogs are good, like most any dog if he/she's trained right and loved.
hope i helped. good luck and if you really want to know, buy a breed dog book or ask a vet. have fun with your new dog!

***Congrats on your new PUP!***
She is Rott & German Shepherd.
So you had the general idea.
That is a very popular mix breed. They are very loyal & protective but great with children.
She will probably have the girth of a Rotti & the long legs & height of a Shepherd.
Good for you for adopting from a shelter!!!
