Why is there such a big fuss about darwin and evolution theory as opposed to creation theory? I really dont understand how forward thinking people cannot seem to be able to combine them both. Evolution is a fact, there is way too much supporting evidence for it. However noone really knows where the fundamental life that all life evolved from came from, surely thats a good basis for a modern darwin creation theory? I mean its stupid to take the bible literally, it is very very old and has been edited (by accident and design) probably hundreds of times. Surely noone believes that god literally made the earth in 7 days... like whats a day to a god? a hundred years? a million? Also am i going to hell for bringing this up? (someone is bound to say it) Does god have any nark with free speech?

Each of the creative “days” in Genesis were not just 24 hours long. True, God could have made the earth in six literal days but He didn’t.

Many do consider the word “day” used in Genesis chapter 1 to mean 24 hours. However, in Genesis 1:5 God himself is said to divide day into a smaller period of time, calling just the light portion “day.” In Genesis 2:4 ALL the creative periods are called ONE DAY “This is a history of the heavens and the earth in the time of their being created, in the day [all six creative periods] that God made earth and heaven.”
The Hebrew word yohm, translated “day,” can mean different lengths of time. Among the meanings possible, William Wilson’s Old Testament Word Studies includes the following: “A day; it is frequently put for time in general, or for a long time; a whole period under consideration . . . Day is also put for a particular season or time when any extraordinary event happens.”1 This last sentence appears to fit the creative “days,” for certainly they were periods when extraordinary events were described as happening. It also allows for periods much longer than 24 hours.
Genesis chapter 1 uses the expressions “evening” and “morning” relative to the creative periods. This does not necessarily indicate that they were 24 hours long. In some places people often refer to a man’s lifetime as his “day.” They speak of “my father’s day” or “in Shakespeare’s day.” They may divide up that lifetime “day,” saying “in the morning [or dawn] of his life” or “in the evening [or twilight] of his life.” So ‘evening and morning’ in Genesis chapter 1 does not limit the meaning to a literal 24 hours.
“Day” as used in the Bible can include summer and winter, the passing of seasons. (Zechariah 14:8) “The day of harvest” involves many days. (Compare Proverbs 25:13 and Genesis 30:14.) A thousand years are likened to a day. (Psalm 90:4; 2 Peter 3:8, 10) “Judgment Day” covers many years. (Matthew 10:15; 11:22-24) It would seem reasonable that the “days” of Genesis could likewise have embraced long periods of time -millenniums.

There is no such place as a fiery hell.
A loving God wouldn't invent such a place (1 JOHN 4:8)
The word is often mistranslated & means the common grave of mankind.

Evolution is a theory yet to be proved.
When Darwin publicized those views on evolution he also added that in the future there would be found proof to back up his THEORIES, that what he expected.
Has time proved him right? - NO

If Darwin was alive today he would retract his views because of lack of proof.

Many scientists today are acknowledging that we must have been created. By studying on the molecular level they acknowledge that life just couldn't have come about by chance. They echo the Psalmist's words at PSALM 139:14

The gene pool in Adam and Eve was complete. In successive generations it became more diffuse (that is how Noah could have 3 sons of apparently different racial types). It was some time before incest would start to be a problem. By the way, evolution also demands a single pair of human progenitors. Otherwise a whole generation of humans would have to spontaneously develop without intelligence to guide it. Also, evolution is speculative, not factual. So-called evidence demands huge chasm wide assumptions.

I see BrowBrat beat me to it by informing you that Darwin was a Christian.
I have heard a joke in which God informs the person that 1 second to Him is a million years to mankind!
Time itself is irrelevant in the Bibical sense. Just think of the ancients who lived for 'hundreds of years'. Today we know that to have been just a fancy.
Accepting the theory (!) of evolution does not mean you cannot be a Christian and accept this concept at the same time.
This is called free-will, a God-given right.

You hit it with, "Foreword Thinking People." Christians are only foreword thinkers in the material sence and the "personal" pursuite of their own devine forgiveness. Christians only accept what the New Testament says, pretty much disregarding the Old Testament and refuse to even consider the Ancient Christian Writings: Dead Sea Scrolls, The Apocrypha, The Lost Gospels and others. If they reject their own written past, how then can they accept another theory that falls short of the little bit of writing they DO relate to. - (Even though with an open mind, Darwin's evolution theory comes in line with the Biblical story.)

Christians cannot or choose not to accept the existence of evolution. If they did this would prove that their beliefs are wrong, that Adam and Eve did not exist and there is no basis for their religion.
As you say, evolution is a fact.Look around you,we are evolving all the time and not just the human race.Animals and plant life have all evolved over the centuries and will continue to do so.
Personally I prefer to believe scientific fact rather than a book of
stories.

Evolution is not a fact, but a myth propagated by the media. 12 so-called "missing links" have been found, yet all of them but 3 have been proven to be frauds or classified incorrectly. Also, there is this thing called the Cambrian explosion where all of the body structures for all of the complicated life that exists today are found in one layer of the earth. The cell couldn't have evolved because it is irreducibly complex, meaning that it needs all of its parts in order to function. If one part is missing, the whole structure collapses. The Bible is not a fraud, nor has it been changed. In fact, there are more copies of the Bible from BC times all the way to the first few centuries AD that show that it has not been changed than many transcripts of the literature in however many editions that we read today. By the way, the Bible says that to God a day is a thousand years.

how weird is that...i wanted to ask this very same question except maybe the bible is about the creation of soul (not marvin gaye) would like to know more about gaia theory of mother earth being a sentient being (a silicon lifeform maybe)...personally i think darwin was a dick..the same evidence would prove a theory of devolution where we are all descended from a single cell being who maybe called him/herself god...

Darwin himself became a Christian and denied all of his evolutionary theory before he died. The Bible was written by man inspired by God. God is God and will not let man interfere with His word. God controls the universe and has the final say in all things. God is your judge and if you have not accepted His payment for sin (Jesus' sacrifice), He says that you WILL go to Hell. By the way, I am not religious, I am a Christian. Thank you for your question.

Hate to disagree with you, well, I really don't hate to disagree, because, I DO disagree.
There are millions of us who DO believe that God literally made the earth in 7 days. And we believe all the rest of the Bible, too, just the way it's written.

Where did those dinosaur bones come from?
The universe is never ending, so the earth is but a pinhead yet God seemingly consent rates on our tiny little planet.
If God did not exist we would have to invent him!, he didn't so we did.
Its all about control.
