Yes you can...I've had my first tattoo, which was a red rose, touched up and added to. It is now a purple rose. I also had a butterfly touched up with brighter colors. A good tattoo artist can do just about anything!!

I am sure that you could. The color inks used now are different than years ago. Just go to a tattoo parlor you trust and talk with an artist and sure he can help and make your tat look awesome

You can only put dark colors over light colors, and if your going to up date it every so often then in about 40 years from now it'll probably be black. If I was you, I would just have it redone to put the fresh original colors back in it, but it's your body, and go talk with a tattoo artist first and get his opinion.

If its 8 years old, you could either get it covered over with brighter colors and highlights.. But yes it can be done with the righ tattooist..

If it is a light color, you can darken it. They have brighter colors now, it can be freshened up to look nicer.

why tattoo? I am sure your skin looks nice on its own.
just remove it using laser surgery.
