Our word comes from 'biche' - meaning a female deer but 'chienne' is the feminine of 'chien' and means a female dog.

(Pronunciation: beesh, shyenn (feminine) and shyian[g] (masculine) the [g] means that the sound is something like English 'ng' but cuts off before you get to the 'g' bit, leaving the nose cavity open.)

Awww why don't you just call them what they are! Call a spade a spade, I say ... If you call them 'bêches' that means 'spades'.

If you mean B - I - T - C - H, the word is "chienne." Don't worry about the plural. In French the final "s" is silent

Not really ! no one in France goes around saying "chienne".
It is the correct translation for *****, but chienne is certainly not used.

When you intend to say it in a derogatory way: Salope ( fem. ) Salot ( masc. ).... Or you can just call them Enfoire ( accent agut)

Salope va ! enfoire va ! Or you could just say t'es une taspe !

chienne - pronounced "she-en" it also just means dog. But in context it would work. "La chienne" = The *****.
