I want to put my education qualifications on my visiting card (personal one). In my culture it is acceptable to do so but I am not sure what the correct etiquette is. I did my Masters in the UK and my undergrad in the US - is that something I would include? Any help would be appreciated! ! !

It depends on the purpose of the card: are you trying to drum up business? In which case, it is relevant to subtly mention your specialty (with or without your degree). If you are a consultant, then it is advisable that your specialty be known among acquaintances, who can refer potential clients to you.

In such cases, it is more relevant to know what you do than what your degree is, or the institution (save those for your resume),
unless your MA or PhD highlights the work that you do, and adds credibility (still no need to mention the institute).

If you only want a card for generic networking purposes, with no mention of what you do, then the degree (and institution) are irrelevant, you just need the contact info for how others can reach you.

Happy networking!

In some cultures it is the norm. I have seen this a lot in Canada and some countries of the Caribbean. I do not know what would be considered good etiquette as it pertains to putting the designation on a personal or business card. I suggest you search Canadian sites universities etc. to see.

till you have studied any particular direction on your MA there is not any ought to show it. in case you deem it needed you're able to point out uk after it to show from the place you won the postgraduation yet this is likewise not needed.those information can parent in you CV. traveling card ought to have in simple terms the needed information. in any different case the cardboard could replace into unwield like the cardboard of a Minister in India. It bumped into seveal pages and contained all references to diverse awards and honorary medical doctors stages granted to him,do not even think of of smothering somebody with the cardboard .put it aside for the interview. think of what could take place if the extreme expectancies raised by using your wonderful card at the instant are not fulfilled for the time of the interview the cardboard introducing you would be growing to be a incorrect effect approximately you.

In America, putting your university degrees on a person business card would be considered extremely odd and innappropriate. It would seem like the person was attempting to brag or show off. On a business card it would seem normal and informative. On a personal card it would seem like a desperate plea for attention and admiration.

I feel that in some cultures it is considered Good other its brag...not to say it dosen't hurt any boby.

Let me add to me It dosen't matters what a persons Degree or a qualificaion is .. the certificates, the files you carry them in....Your personality should Speak...not only certificates....

The way you carry youself People should ask you about your qualification.

Depending on the purpose of your business card [is it for networking? is it for doing business? Or is it for a job / interview?], you may include brief details of the highest academic level achieved.
Eg: Stan Holloway.
MA .(Eng) Oxford.
