I see so many questions on here "could I be pregnant?” and I know they are probably young kids/teenagers. So, they are having sex, but are not willing to assume the responsibility of trying to prevent teenage pregnancy? Are they in denial about having sex? Do they think they won't get pregnant/get their girlfriend pregnant?

What do *you* think?

Teenagers: you live in a time and era when it is probably the most convenient time in history to get B.C. and to learn about it ... what's preventing you from doing so?

I am not judging or putting down teens that choose to have sex, but what I am saying is if you ARE having sex, why not protected sex? I mean isn't the possibility of getting pregnant far worse than being embarrased about going to a clinic?

I think that the subject of birth control at times can be touchy... i know that the resources are out there but some kids, even though they may be brave enough to have sex, may not be brave enough to face their parents with the idea of birth control. I was like that. My mom always said that when i was ready to come to her and yadda yadda yadda, but i didnt and when i finally did decide to have sex, i got pregnant SOON after.. im now 18 and 4 months. By the way, I think i'd be nice for people not to bag on young mothers.... yes birth control is out there, but no birth control is 100% effective. my boyfriend and i used condoms and it still happened......

Just a little tidbit: birth control is NOT 100% effective. My first daughter was conceived when I was 17 while I was on the patch. Then I became pregnant with my second child when I was 18 while I was using the Nuva ring. I miscarried once before having either of my children. I was using condoms then. Just 2 months ago I had another miscarriage. I'm on the mirena (IUD). All pregnancies were by the same man, we aren't on welfare so it's not anyone's tax dollars paying my way. Just trying to get people that birth control doesn't always work.

As a teenager myself, i dont want to get sexually active. And in a way, I dont really think its right to just give out birth control to teens either. I mean, we're still young, and sex isn't something that we just "do" with our boyfriends or girlfriends, and most likely , we'lll regret it. If we just give out birth control to teens, i think it's saying " Go ahead, have all the sex you want, your on birth control anyways, so its less chance that you'll get pregnant." truely, the best thing to do as a teen is to not have sex at all, most likely, u'll regret it, or have to suffer some kind of consequence, and even if they were on B.C, it isn't 100% effective.............

I know that I am going to home school my kids so that they are not around the types of kids there are now-a-days and receive their peer pressure. They are so promiscuous it is ridiculous.
