Buy a premium food , the best that you can.
Ask where you are getting them from what they are used to eating if not pellets and gradually introduce pellets to them.
Pellets are recommended for birds that may end up lacking nutrition through the fault of their new owners.
Lovebirds should be given a range of different fruits and vegies on a daily basis.
Our 22 adult stock live in a 14 foot aviary which we have built around an already established australian native tree 5 years ago, so its a huge one.
They have 2 large vegetable gardens just for them.
Our lovebirds have 8 bowls of food fresh every morning without fail. (Stainless steel bowls)
2 consist of seed/pellet mix, 1 spinach, 1 snow peas, 1mung beans, 1 soaked multigrain bread, 1 egg & biscuit mix,
and 1 corn on cob, as well as another hung up.
There fav treat is millet sprays, and they love a couple of seed treats during the week.
Try all different fruits and vegies, the list is endless.
NO avocado, this is toxic to your birds.
Make sure your birds have time out of their enclosure, with you.
Make sure their cage is wider than it is taller.
Dont forget cuttlefish bone, they need this for calcium.
Put a nest box or something similar for them to sleep in, not just a perch for all their lives.
Love birds can live for up to 16 years if looked after properly.
Make sure you worm your lovebird/s, alot of people dont realise that they need to do this.
Every 3mths if aviary bird. Every 6 mths if inside bird.
Lots of love most of all.
I have handreared my lovebirds inside and they are so beautiful, they are both 5, both males, and get into mischief all the time,
I also have two scaley handreared lories, that my peachies have fallen in love with. So i have1 peachy/1 lorie and another peachy buddies up with another lori, so funny.
Love them to bits.
Best of luck.
If you need any more advice u can IM me on susanmclaren1@yahoo.com.au

Another thing - They love to chew and climb in natural trees, get some trees for your birds, give it a hose off outside, your birds will have a field day, and its great to see them in their natural environment. SOOOOOOOOOO beautiful.
Check on the internet what trees are safe for your birds.
I live in Australia so im not sure what country u are from, trees may differ.

Buy them some expensive food pellets, place them around a nicly decorated bird feeder and let the romance between them grow because being together is what it's all about.

conures are louder and extra high priced. yet in my view I extremely have 2 conures (green cheek) and that they are the quietest ones of the gang. they are cute and in case you prefer them to do tricks and issues like that i prefer to propose the conures in spite of if it is thoroughly as much as you. good success and do exactly in spite of your hart tells you... by using how the two species of birds could be held in the event that they are tame while little
