My Wish By Rascal Flatts. Very nice, and not mushy. Here are the lyrics:

I hope that the days come easy and the moments pass slow,
And each road leads you where you want to go,
And if you're faced with a choice, and you have to choose,
I hope you choose the one that means the most to you.
And if one door opens to another door closed,
I hope you keep on walkin' till you find the window,
If it's cold outside, show the world the warmth of your smile,

But more than anything, more than anything,
My wish, for you, is that this life becomes all that you want it to,
Your dreams stay big, and your worries stay small,
You never need to carry more than you can hold,
And while you're out there getting where you're getting to,
I hope you know somebody loves you, and wants the same things too,
Yeah, this, is my wish.

I hope you never look back, but ya never forget,
All the ones who love you, in the place you left,
I hope you always forgive, and you never regret,
And you help somebody every chance you get,
Oh, you find God's grace, in every mistake,
And you always give more than you take.

But more than anything, yeah, and more than anything,
My wish, for you, is that this life becomes all that you want it to,
Your dreams stay big, and your worries stay small,
You never need to carry more than you can hold,
And while you're out there getting where you're getting to,
I hope you know somebody loves you, and wants the same things too,
Yeah, this, is my wish.

This is my wish
I hope you know somebody loves you
May all your dreams stay big

Butterfly Kisses
Bob Carlisle's Butterfly Kisses is one of the all-time favorites. The message is loved by dads and daughters alike and the tempo makes dancing easy.

When Angels Fly
Performed by Tony Ransom & The Heavely Light Orchestra, it is at once inspiring and memorable.

My Girl
The classic My Girl by The Temptations is a song some of the fathers just loved. It is fun to dance to, and brings back some memories for the fathers of their teenage years.

Through the Years
Through the Years by Kenny Rogers is a timeless song of love and is a favorite of many of my friends. It is a little bit country, which appeals to many dads and daughters, but is sweet and memorable.

Sunrise Sunset
The wedding song from the Fiddler on the Roof is a long time favorite for the dad and daughter dance. And it makes for an elegant dance given the slow and graceful tempo.

How Sweet It Is (To Be Loved by You)
This James Taylor classic hit is a great but less often used wedding dance choice. Many dads remember it from their youth and it is a lot of fun to dance to. This is not your classic waltz, but it is still memorable.

The Way You Look Tonight
An old Frank Sinatra tune (with the Count Basie orchestra) is a wonderful dad and daughter dance number. It has a fun beat and is well crafted for a litte swing dance at a wedding or reception.

Unforgettable
You can't listen to Natalie Cole's version of her father's hit Unforgettable without feeling the warm affection between a father and a daughter. And it is easy to dance to as well.

Lullabye (Goodnight my Angel)
One of Billy Joel's soulful songs sings a lullabye to his daughter and provides a favorite dance song for weddings. This is a unique song--not one you'll hear at every wedding--and still is meaningful to a dad and his newlywed daughter.

My Father's Eyes
Amy Grant's performance of My Father's Eyes is sweet and soulful and will be loved by both a father and his daughter.

"I Loved Her First," by Heartland.

"I Loved Her First" by Heartland (Walt Aldridge/Elliott Park)

1st Verse

Look at the two of you dancin' that way
Lost in the moment and each other's face
So much in love, you're alone in this place
Like there's nobody else in the world

2nd Verse

I was enough for her not long ago
I was her number one, she told me so
And she still means the world to me
Just so you know
So be careful when you hold my girl

Pre-Chorus

Time changes everything
Life must go on
And I'm not gonna stand in your way

Chorus

I loved her first
I held her first
And a place in my heart
Will always be hers
From the first breath she breathed
When she first smiled at me
I knew the love of a father runs deep
And I prayed that she'd find you someday
But it's still hard to give her away
I loved her first

3rd Verse

How could that beautiful woman with you
Be the same freckled-face kid that I knew
The one that I read all those fairytales to
And tucked into bed all those nights

Pre-Chorus

And I knew the first time I saw you with her
It was only a matter of time

(Repeat Chorus)

Tag Chorus

From the first breath she breathed
When she first smiled at me
I knew the love of a father runs deep
Someday you might know what I'm goin' through
When a miracle smiles up at you
I loved her first
Ooh, ooh

My Dad and I danced to "Because you Loved Me" by Celine Dion. I also like "Daughters" by John Mayer. "The Summer Wind" by Frank Sinatra would be nice too...it's a little more upbeat and it's a short song too. Also, "In My Life" by the Beatles would be fantastic. I hate to do long answers, but here are the words for that song...
There are places I'll remember
All my life though some have changed
Some forever not for better
Some have gone and some remain
All these places have their moments
With lovers and friends I still can recall
Some are dead and some are living
In my life I've loved them all

But of all these friends and lovers
There is no one compares with you
And these memories lose their meaning
When I think of love as something new
Though I know I'll never lose affection
For people and things that went before
I know I'll often stop and think about them
In my life I love you more

Though I know I'll never lose affection
For people and things that went before
I know I'll often stop and think about them
In my life I love you more
In my life I love you more

Just please, please don't use the song Butterfly Kisses...that song is like nails on a chalkboard to the ears! ;-)

Daughters- by John Mayer.

There isn't a prouder moment in a father's life than when his little girl gets married.

Daughters

I know a girl
She puts the color inside of my world
She's just like a maze
Where all the walls all continually change

I've done all I can
To stand on the steps with my heart in my hand
Now I'm starting to see
Maybe it's got nothing to do with me

Fathers be good to your daughters
Daughters will love like you do
Girls become lovers, who turn into mothers
So mothers be good to your daughters too

Oh you see that skin
It's the same shes been standing in
Since the day she was him walking away
Now she's left
Cleaning up the mess he made

So fathers be good to your daughters
Daughters will love like you do
Girls become lovers, who turn into mothers
So mothers be good to your daughters too

Boys you can break
You'll find out how much they can take
Boys will be strong
And boys soilder on
But boys would be gone without warmth for a womans good, good heart

On behalf of every man, looking out for every girl
You are the god, and you are the weight of the world

On behalf of every man, looking out for every girl
You are the god and the weight of the world

So fathers be good to your daughters
Daughters will love like you do
Girls become lovers, who turn into mothers
So mothers be good to your daughters too

If you're a country music fan, then try "Tough Little Boys" by Gary Allan, "My Little Girl" by Tim McGraw (can be found on either the "Flicka" soundtrack, if available, or his "Greatest Hits, Vol. 2" CD), or "I Loved Her First" by Heartland. If you're not a country fan, try "Because You Loved Me" by Celine Dion or "Have I Told You Lately That I Love You" by (I think) Rod Stewart. The 2 non-country songs were featured as father-daughter dance songs in the movie "What A Girl Wants".

You know, all those songs are an exellent choices But the one song that tops them all is "Wonderful World." Being a bridal consultant Ypu'd think I knew who sang it, But I don't. But it came out in the 1960's. It was my choice for my wedding.
