Is there a cream or something that you apply, or is there a pill that you take?

It stimulates the hair follicle to grow when they're dormant.

It's a topical solution you apply a couple times a day. You have to keep it up for a minimum of three months to see results, and not stop for it to continue (it'll reverse quickly).

Rogaine comes in liquid and now foam. It was originally given to people with heart problems. They found that for some men their hair grew back. Something about increased blood flow regenerate the hair follicles, but only on the top of your head it doesn't help with receding hairlines.

Propecia is pill that you take, supposed to have the same effect as Rogaine.
