God said, "I will provide the sacrifice.". And Jesus shed His blood once and for all, for the remission of our sins.

None of us will ever be in Abraham's shoes. God told Abraham to sacrifice his one and only son. Then of course, Isaac wasn't without sin so what would it accomplish? Abraham trusted God knowing that God would raise his child up, because God keeps his promises. God provided a ram stuck in the thorns. God later, provided His Only Begotten Son that whosoever believes in Him will not perish but will have ever lasting life.

So, if I had the faith of Abraham at that time, that would be real faith. I would hope I had the faith of Abraham.

Today, God wouldn't ask me to do this because God already sent His One and Only Son to atone for our sins. So? Jesus atonement is sufficient for us to receive ever lasting life.

This is REALLY a mistaken interpretation. Back in Abraham's time, EVERY firstborn child was being sacrificed. God told Abraham NOT to sacrifice his son and to go against the custom. It is a lesson that each action is supposed to be evaluated, rather than just followed like everyone else. It was a stupid custom and God wanted Abraham to be a thinker and leader, not a follower of Blind Ritual.

God had already promised Abraham that he would have a son, and that through him he would be the father of many nations. Abraham trusted that God would fulfill that promise. I believe that Abraham knew that God would provide the sacrifice or raise his son from the dead, how else would he be the father of many nations through Issac. I do not believe I could do it.

Maybe God did not ask Abraham to sacrifice his son. Maybe Abraham thought that sacrificing his son to God would be pleasing to him.
It was normal for ancient Pagans to sacrifice people to their gods.
The fact that God Stopped Abraham from killing his son means that God does not accept human sacrifice. Now tell this to my so-called fellow Muslims who still believe that god will compensate a terrorist who blows up himself killing others in the process.

Yes! Though I'd have to be 100% sure He really was the true God. Abram knew this yet was hestitant but still would have done it if God hadn't stopped him. God tests our faith often. I wonder how many times we pass.

Nope, but I would pretend like I was going to to trick him, and wait for him to say, "Just kidding" like he did to Abraham. Then, let him shower the blessings on me anyway, but I wouldn't actually kill the kid. That would be dumb.

yes I would. Parents have sacrificed children to disease, drugs, alcohol etc. why not God? If God asked of it, then it would be the right thing to do. Thing is, I would never know that it was God asking.
