You should prepare an excellent meal and be a gracious hostess. Make your husband proud and keep your dignity by not stooping to her level. If you insist on being mean then just make boiled hot dogs with regular bread and not even the buns.
She will be insulted by the lack of planning and time you spent. However, you will also be justifying her low opinion of you and giving her fodder for gossip.

Okay, seriously, how old are you? You have a mother-in-law, and you are considering making her pigs feet for dinner because you don't like her??? I think everyone has their share of in-law's they don't like, but by the question you asked, it seems like you are too young to be married.

If she dont like you dont give her nothing to complain about cook the most delicious meal to have her wanting to be nice to you so you would cook for her again
