Every once in a while I wheeze and there's slight tightness in my chest. It's been going on for as long as I can remember, but I've only recently gotten serious about it with my parents (I'm 15.). I exercise well, and my father's getting a treadmill, so I'll be able to do more cardio. I do have allergies, but nothing life-threatening. I'm not exactly sure what I'm allergic to, but my eyes just get a little red and itchy. I'm going to the doctor soon to get diagnosed, but do you think I might have asthma?

It's possible. A lot of people have a mild case of asthma, and a lot of times it's related to allergies, particularly allergies to dust mites (wash your bed sheets a lot, sweep every spot of your room often and get an air purifier). Cardiovascular exercise can actually help a mild case of asthma, so just keep up what you're doing.

Yes, you might have asthma.
You should get a doctors order to have spirometry performed at a pulmonary function lab with a before and after bronchodilator order.
You should also get an allergy screening performed by an allergy specialist.
If the spirometry shows airflow obstruction that is reversible by bronchodilator, you have your answer. If it doesn't show airflow obstruction, and your wheezing and tightness continues, you should get an order from your doctor to 1) see a pediatric pulmonologist and 2) get an order to perform a methacholine challenge at a pulmonary function lab.

Also, get your hands on a peak flow meter and use it when you are feeling well and use it when you are wheezing and tight to see if there is a difference.

Yes, you might have asthma, but all that wheezes is not asthma. Don't let your doctor just stick you on a bronchodilator or inhaled steroids without confirming that you have asthma. An allergy specialist and a pediatric pulmonologist are appropriate consults for you concern.

And yes if you do have asthma it is manageable if properly diagnosed and treated. You can have a wonderful life even with asthma (properly managed).

yes. It could be asthma associated with your allergies. Allergies can cause this. See a doctor, because exercise can induce asthma too, but you don't want to NOT exercise because of it... you'll want to eliminate your exposure to allergens and have a rescue inhaler for when you need it.

See a doc, they can help you through all of this

It's possible that you could have a mild case of it. It would be good to be diagnosed if this is the case so that you can learn how to deal with it when/if it causes problems. There are a lot of people with mild cases that only have problems when they get respiratory infections like cold or flu.
