What makes you think that by believing in God they have to believe in Jesus. Jesus was a man who, according to writings, preached to the poor that they had value. You can choose to believe he was the son of God or not.
That doesn't make them hypocrites, that means they don't agree with the viewpoint that Jesus is the son of God. Even early CHRISTIANS couldn't agree on this matter until the Council of Nicea settled it.

What's amusing is that so many Christians seems unaware of why.
Because of Pontius Pilate. Pilot was a jew and ordered the crucifixion of Jesus.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pontius_Pilate
Even more interesting is that he did so at the bidding of the crowd of Roman citizens gathered there. Pilate freed one prisoner and gave the crowd a choice. Jesus or Barabbas. Jesus lost the popular appeal.
THAT is why many Christians hate the Jews. It has little to do with differing belief systems (though they do believe differently) and everything to do with Pilate.
In typical human fashion, Christianity chose to turn all Jews into the enemy over one man's actions.
Yes, I'm fully aware saying that won't win me any friends. But just because some people don't like it, doesn't make it a lie.

jews and christians, for the most part, get along just fine, and its people like you , forcing your specific brand of religion on people that keep the two apart. One does NOT have to believe Jesus was the son of God to believe that God exists, You are the hypocrite, demanding thateveryone think exactly as you do

To my knowledge, Jewish people believe that Jesus was a real person, just not the son of God. Many faiths beleive that Jesus was the son of God and therefor also devine. There in lies the conflict. (I think)

I don't know where you live, but in my neck of the woods Christians and Jews get along just fine...I think we have a friendly fascination with one another's religions because they are so closely connected.

Of course, we are all hypocrits. We are made children of God and pretend to be any number of other things. It was Eve's sin - she thought she could be God. Do you have any substantiation for the bigoted "for the most part"?

You don't have to believe in Jesus to believe in a god...
I imagine that anti-Semitism is as much an ethnicity issue as a religion one.
