i am a great believer in thought manifestation and i use positive imagery to do this
i visualise what i want during some quiet time ( much like meditation )
and i repeat the process daily or as much as possible
i have also found affirmations are a wonderful way of getting results
putting little notes on the fridge etc to remind yourself of your intention
i.e ... i will succeed in reaching my goal
keeping every word positive
do not use words like .. i want or i hope or i wish
but .. i will , i can , i am
xx

So that I know we're on the same page, I'm defining thought manifestation more or less as the work upon the desire using the power of thought, in order to consciously will the desire with utmost awareness and consciousness.
Here is a lecture you will be very interested in, given by Michael Laitman. It is called "A Thought is an Upshot of the Desire."
Basically, he discusses a concept in preparation for a method that allows a person to develop one's thought according to laws beyond the physical reality, laws that operate upon our desires and thoughts.

The New Thought movement (circa 1920),
the writings of Ernest Holmes (Science of Mind, etc),
Creating Money by Orin and Da Ben,
Ask and It Is Given,
Various books channeled from 'Seth' by Jane Roberts,
Illusions (the adventures of a Reluctant Messiah) by Richard Bach,
Jonathan Livingston Seagull ".
When I am sad, angry, or impatient I spend a few moments inhaling love for life and God and exhaling gratitude for life and to God, and a wave of bliss overtakes me, and I am ennabled to go on.
I have participated in manifesting many things (because really, God is the One that does the work of manifestation, we just pay attention to asking and receiving, and you don't have to be righteous to ask or of any one particular religion to ask or to receive).
