I need music for all parts of my wedding, but not really into classical, want more of an ethnic r&b feel to it.

Since I first heard it, I always thought that Tracy Chapman's Wedding Song from her Telling Stories album would be one that I will play at my wedding; it's beautful and modern sounding.

Another one that people always say is perfect at weddings is Marc Cohn's True Companion; it's also really pretty and acoustic.

I've also always been a fan of Al Green's Let's Stay Together. My brother recently played it at his wedding reception; always a classic!

Also, below is a link to wedding music that's more modern. Good luck!

I had current up to date music for my wedding but it was still instrumental. I still went with a regular song that has lyrics for my wedding march. I used a song that his mother (passed on) used in her wedding and it meant a lot to my husband. Mr. matcho no tears had to hold them back while I walked down the isle. I liked the fact that it had a traditional sense to it but it was modern songs that meant something to me and my husband.

I went to Napster.com and looked up songs that I wanted and most of them have kareoke instrumental tracks without background vocals. I got them off their and burned a CD in the order they would be played. You can go to any music web site that offers the different tracks but I found Napster had the most selection.

If you don't mind the words in the songs then go for whatever songs you want in your wedding. Remember it is your day and the more unique you make it the more memorable it will be for you and your husband.
Congrats.

Yes! Play what you like! I used the wedding march, but the bridal party came down to Lost in You by Chris Gaines and I Believe in You and Me by Whitney Houston. Jenny Garth (90210) and many others have used "By Your Side" by Sade and I bet it was the sweetest thing. Apparently Goapele has a good song for that, but I don't know the name of it - a friend is using it. Again, do what you like. You'll be so glad you did, especially when you hear it again in the years to come.

You got to go back to the 90's for good love/wedding songs, try google.com hope that helps.

Check out "At Last" by Etta James, blues diva.

Here's a couple public-domain covers of that song:
