It has been for quite a while if you really think about it. You can't arrest or accuse a non white without this issue coming up. Now we can't even come together to keep out illegals without our diverse culture suddenly becoming (in some people's imaginations) all white and totally racist. Even if all kinds of citizens are against illegal invasion of our country.

it doesn't bother me ,they can call me anything they want on the way out of this country.Illegal immigrants are the problem ,deportation is the cure.

We need the rule of law but however valuable laws and the enforcement of laws are, they are never perfect and need constant adjustment and constant awareness of exceptions. Don't forget that it wasn't long ago that slavery and other very racist activities were actually legal.

Because when people say "I just want them to get their papers legally" and then you tell them that is legally impossible and ask them if they would they support a law that would allow them to get their papers legally, the same people say "no". Then they reply, I just want them out of the country. Period. When you ask them if they would be in favor of a law that would give them the opportunity to come back legally if they left, the people say "no, they can stay out". So then one has to conclude that it isn't really about the legality of their presence, it is about their presence. Period.
Legality is a pretense, a smoke screen. If you are not in favor of giving them an opportunity to become legal , then it is not about the law and more likely about race.

Assuming you are talking about immigration laws, it is because those not wanting them enforced know they're wrong, and rather than argue the issue on the merits they attack the opposition's character. It is a favorite ruse of liberals I am sorry to say. So ignore the name calling, and stick to your guns.
