Check out Circuit city I've seen a few good ones there and they are quite a bit cheaper than the battery ones.
Be sure to check out their price on extension cords though, they can become quite pricey especially if you travel around much.

None all Camera's have battery's however if you want a Camera that you do not want to take out the battery's you can get one with a docking station which will charge the battery while in the camera.
Also do not be afraid of battery's if the camera take AA battery you can replace then around the world also the new rayovac IC3 battery's only take 15 min to recharge and last twice as long as normal AA battery's however many higher end point and shoot Cameras are coming out with custom battery's and come with chargers for them but these battery's last much longer then AA Batteries so not to much of a problem
