thanks for the answers ive rec'd....But here's another Q? there was a warrant out for this person and thus arrested. But now does he have to go thru a trial and will get a new sentence if found guilty and if found not guilty, will he be set free?

IN TX; IT WOULD MEAN HE WAS PAROLED AT THE FIRST OF THE YEAR AND SOMETIME BETWEEN THEN AND THE TIME HE WAS ARRESTED HE VIOLATED HIS PAROLE PROBABLY BY BEING ARRESTED; THE STATE GETS THE INFORMATION FROM THE ARREST AND ISSUES A BLUE WARRANT WHICH HAS NO BOND THERE IS NO RETRAIL HE WILL BE SENT BEFORE THE PAROLE AGAIN WHERE MORE THAN LIKELY HIS PAROLE WILL BE REVOKED AND HE WILL BE PLACED BACK INTO THE DEPT OF CORRECTIONS TO SERVE THE REMAINDER OF HIS ORIGINAL SENTENCE AND POSSIBLY ADDITIONAL TIME FOR THE VIOLATION

It means there is either 1. a active warrant for his arrest 2. his parole was revoked 3. he parloe officer wants a hearing and has him being held pending a parole hearing to see if his parole should be revoked.

As you know if someone is on parole and they do another crime, they can be sent back to serve the balance of their sentence.

It sounds like this person is being held on a "Parole Hold" this means he/she was arrested while on parole and thus there is no bail and odds are they will be sent back to prison.

He probably violated his parole, and now he's considered a flight risk. They can hold people for any reason. I have one guy being held right now b/c I let his case manager know that he failed to appear at his last VOP hearing, so they're holding him for me. You realy don't have to have an excuse.

It's a PV probation/parole violation. They violated one or more charges they were intitally locked up for.....Could be anything; a minor drunk in public charge can viloate somebody's parole.....
