Anything that the baby can chew or you can grind that is as close to raw as you can provide. Carrots that are slice thin and steamed, carrots, frozen broccoli if fresh isn't fresh. Stem all hard veggies to prevent choking. Then banannas, oranges with the tough membrane removed, all fruit cut small or juiced. always offer a variety of foods and it the baby doesn't like it try it again in a few months. They change all the time. They say as long as you offer them a variety of foods they will get all the nutrition they need. Applesauc without sugar on wholewheat pancakes. There are so many things. Peanut butter crackers or sandwiches are good protien source. Chicken fingers with honey sauce or ketsup. Kids eat what they want but don't worry if they eat a little on 2-3 days and then eat a lot on one day. They will get what they need. don't forget yogurt and cheese to get the good bacteria they need. Good luck.

Generally, if you teach you child good eating habits early on, they have a decreased risk of obesity later. Feed her/ him a wide variety of veggies and fruits (I would think that baby food would be best, as it would only contain stuff they could digest well), and keep her/ him active. Try getting a book on toddlers from a library, and see what it recommends.

My little girl always liked refried beans with alittle cheese, it is good protein. and home made oatmeal with some brown sugar to sweeten. But really any veggie or fruit is good. you just don't want to give to much, like bananas it can constipate her.
