In our house we have four boys and two girls.

The boys are taught exactly what the girls are taught with slight differences (of course) in the explanation of consequences.

Boys are taught that first and foremost they are as responsible for a girls virtue as she is. If she is the agressor, they are to remember that they are to help her stay virtuous. They are not to press a lady into doing something they would not want to think their sister may be being pressured into.

If lust wins over virtue and they got a young lady pregnant, they are taught that they will be just as reponsible for the pregnancy and the birth and raising of the child as the young lady will be.
We know we cannot have them feel the aches and pains of pregnancy, but they will have to go to appointments, plan ahead on how they are going to support this child and all else that goes into an unexpected pregnancy.

What we do not teach them: To carry protection "just in case"

Protection is absence of sexual relationship. Responsibilty is taught over "just in case"

So far it has worked, three grown up, no pregnancies, Three still teens, but have been taught in the same way.

I am not saying at all that something could not happen, but if it did or does, they have been taught ahead of time what the outcome will be, and that is way more biblical than "just in case" teachings.

And to answer your question A pregnancy would ultimately be considered the boys fault in our house. He is responsible for controlling his own desires and thoughts. Biblically the man is responsible for his actions and that is the way it will continue to be taught in this house.

I never heard of anyone buying another a condom unless it was the other partner. Strictly interpreting the Bible the act of using the condom is the same as throwing your seed on the ground.. It was always used as a do not masterbate verse (silly christians) but it is definately written as advice not to disobey the first commandment that being go forth and multiply.. Our society in an effort to enable women to have careers has pushed our sexual habits so far from what was the norm in all centuries previous that there is no telling any more how God would interpret what's a good idea considering what is written in Romans 13.

What I think is that no one christian or otherwise is out there is deliberatly either advocating irresposible sex or abundantly providing for the mistakes that will be made and clearly the second is far more important than the first and has been a resposibility we as americans and Christians should be ashamed of our lack of responses to.Is mine not the worst English out of a post grad you ever saw or what.

Boys will always blame the girls because they don't have the balls to accept the responsibility.

I don't believe that it is up to the parent to supply their kids condoms but to educate them about sex and the consequenses it may cause.

If you are old enough to have sex you are old enough to go to a drug store and by some condoms to not only prevent pregnancies but also diseases that could kill you.

It's both their fault. If you have sex without a condom, expect to raise the chance of pregnancy. HOWEVER, all teenagers should be taught this and if they aren't then we should blaime the parents of both boys and girls.

It takes two so it would be both at fault if you do not use protection. I would want my son to be protected from all the sexual diseases that are out there so I would buy the condoms but not be happy about it.

Religious people tell you you are going to hell. Don't believe them. Just try not to have sex, and if you do, it is a collective fault. But you will have to deal with it, and you come out stronger for what you have experienced. I hope this helped!

A Freethinking Christian
P.S. It is not solely your fault. He did not try to avoid the situation, either.

Girls are the gatekeeper, but boys should avoid temptation as well.

The pregnancy is the responsibility of the male and female party. (Assuming we are talking about rape or incest in this issue for now).

Oh, they just tell them not to do it. Ha!
Like that ever works! Yeah, us girls get the blame for everything in one particular book! But incest is OK and sometimes necessary to carry on his seed! Holy Crap!
