okay, so i straighten my hair every day.
not because my hair is curly or wavy or anything, but just because its soooo poofy and frizzy. its not naturally like that, it became like that after i started blowdrying my hair and got it highlighted.
i have A TON of split ends and such now.
if i get a hot oil treatment, what will it do for my hair.?
will i not have to straighten it anymore?
will it heal my split ends and reduce the poofyness and frizzyness of my hair?
can i get it done professionally?
how much will it cost?
THANKS :)

The only way to get rid of split ends, is to cut them off. After you get the split ends cut off, you need a deep conditioning treatment. These can be done at a salon and or at home. A salon usually charges around 20 to 25 dollars.

I would do it myself and every chance at home I would put conditioner on it and leave it up in a towel for a while just to condition it. All that blow drying and even the straightening which uses heat causes damage as well as the highlights. You could use a non permenant hair color that is the color of your hair to get rid of the highlights and rest the hair for a while. This color is nothing but pure conditioner for the hair and will improve the feel of it. Then as you get your hair trimmed it will eventually get back to it's natural state. Anytime you can, try to let your hair dry naturally to give it a break. Also, cold water rinsing makes the hair cuticles close and less split ends. Cool dry setting on hair dryer is better also though it takes longer. So, some tips from someone that's done it all! I would not pay for any of this. Highlights are nice but getting out of that dry burnt stage takes a while. Why spend another fortune to get them out. do this and you will be happier. It might not be straight but, it will be easier to straighten and will calm it down for you. Good Luck!

All hot oil does is coat your hair. It will soften it some, but it can't repair it.
They only thing that can bond with your hair is protein, as that is what our hair is made of. Get shampoos and conditioner with protein high on the ingredient list.
Also, applying heat every day is what is damaging your hair. You'll have to get the split ends cut off. Something you can do after your cut is to try a leave-in conditioner. It will tame the frizziness. A simple one like Enfusium 23 is perfect...don't try to spend a ton of $$ on stuff like Frizz-Eaze (that doesn't even work)
Good Luck to you!

The hot oil treatment will do some restoration on your hair but you will need to get a trim to take care of the rest of your split ends..frizz ez works wonders try that instead of flat ironing your hair and letting your hair air dry as often as possible is also a good solution for giving your hair a break

the best one that i have ever used is VO5 hot oil shower works. its about 6 bucks from wal mart or such. u use it before shampooing while taking a shower. they are right ^^ it just keeps your hair from drying out. i straighten my hair also and i find it to be much softer and smoother after using it. i still use my straightner, but its alot smoother than before. if u have alot of split ends, i would suggest cutting them off as it WILL make ur hair look a little better since the split ends stick out. just cut off like half an inch or so, it will make such a big difference. good luck!

you can do it yourself and its very inexpensive if you want it done at a salon. but i would suggest that you don tput heat on your hair everyday like you do because its very harmful and thats why you have all those split ends. the highlights is what made your hair dry, so the hot oil treatment will help but it wont do miricales you might need to cut it off to get a healthy start, because once your hair is damaged you cant really "heal" it you can only make it look better.

i think like warm oil cures reason extra subjects; you get a ton of oil on your hair and the sole thank you to do away with that's to shampoo the entire head two times. Plus you will desire to sit down down around for like an hour with greasy hair. as a exchange, in basic terms take olive oil and rub some on your hands and rub into the ends of your hair when you wash your hair. then you truthfully can blow dry it or enable it air dry and you'd be wanting the oil working around-the-clock til you shampoo subsequent

i used to bleach my hair alot, and the hot oil treatment helped keep it from drying out and getting split ends. You can do it yourself, it's very simple. Go to Sally Beauty Supply, they sell a good brand called Ion. If the instructions are not on the bottle, the sales girls will know how to do it! (it's cheap too!)
