Well, it depends. Halloween has become so commercialized its original meaning has become diluted. But it actually started out as a Christian celebration. The name Halloween comes from All Hallow's Eve or "holy evening". It was started as an observance of the night before All Saint's day (much like Christmas Eve). The purpose of this evening was to remember those who have died, whether they are officially recognized by the Church as saints or not. It is a celebration of the “communion of saints,” which reminds us that the Church is not bound by space or time.
Very similarly, Day of the Dead (Dia de los Muertos) is celebrated in Mexico and other Latin American countries. During this feast relatives visit the tombs of their relatives bringing food and drink. They basically celebrate the lives of their loved ones. This was a celebration that was first practiced by the Native Americas but was later incorporated into Catholic tradition.
So, I think if you keep the Catholic tradition in mind, you are really not doing anything wrong, but if you are following pagan traditions, then it would go against your Catholic faith.

Depends on what you mean by "celebrating Halloween".
If you mean have a party where you wear a costume, kids go trick-or-treating, and the like, then that is a secular event, and has no religeous significance at all. Go for it, and have fun.
If you mean in a religous sense, then you may have a bit of a conflict there. Samhain, the Wiccan/pagan Holiday, which is a celebration/observance of the Equinox, and when the Spirit world and our world are the closest, is a religous ceremony. It has NOTHING to do with satanism, Hollywood to the contrary.
If someone has invited you to such a ceremony, you may wish to talk to your local Priest about it. If you're going to see what it's like, I fail to see a problem. If you're going to worship other Gods/Godesses than your own, then there's a problem.

Don't listen to all this nonsense! I am a devote Catholic and even my priest celebrates Halloween. We are not worshiping the devil hear people, it is simply a pagan holiday which is not an evil one mind you. Also it is the eve of all saints day if you want to look at it that way. Nothing evil at all and perfectly okay to celebrate.

Not if you celebrate Halloween as a celebration of LIFE and not death. It is part of the all Hallowed Eve thing. Saints rose from the dead when Jesus Ressurected so go ahead and celebrate Life with costumes of the Saints or innocent things like happy pumpkin faces or something but, do not celebrate death as a permanent situation for us as we are alive in Christ!

100% no. The origin or past intent of something is not important; it's the intent/meaning that YOU give it NOW. Halloween is just a fun kid's day. When people talk about its origins, it makes my head spin. For example, many christian holidays (christmas, etc.) were integrated from pagan sources. And it was INTENTIONAL. The original pagan meaning was COMPLETELY changed and reinterpreted into a christian context (religions intentionally do this when they spread in order to use concepts and rituals that are familiar to the people who are converting). When we see people whining about christmas being a pagan holiday, it misses the point -- EXACTLY the same way that those who whine about halloween's potential origins MISS THE POINT. It's like saying that we're all worshipping the Norse god, Thor, because we accept 'Thursday' as one of the names of the days of our week.

Are you celebrating Halloween as a fall festival and going out to trick or treat or are you holding a Satanic cult ritual. If it is the former, then no. The latter, I would think is wrong.

there is nothing wrong with celebrating Halloween as the next day is just as pleasurable in commemorating All Saint's Day for all the Saints who do not have their own particular day as yet.
