adulterers are stoned to death when they are caught in the act, witnessed by at least 4 credible persons, or the adulterer herself confessed about her mistake and that is proven beyond reasonable doubt. As in one case where a woman confessed she was guilty of the crime to the prophet mohammad(peace be upon him). She was admonished to leave and so she did. After several times, she returned again, probably guilty in her conscinece and knows the consequence, having herself pregnant, she was admonished to leaved again until the 3rd time. But on the 4th, carrying the baby, and evidently, it resembled not the father but some other guy, the baby was taken from her and she was ordererd to be stoned to death. It would be better to have paid the sins in this world than to have it be reprimanded on the hereafter.
As to those who are not caught, have not confessed, the prophet (peace be upon him) admonished that the sins committed privately or with no evidence need not tell anyone alive as only God and the heart of the guilty transgressors know of and it will be dealth with accordingly in the day of judgement. The more one tell his sins to others, the more weight it will make of it.
So there you go, some are stoned to death, while those alive should prefer to marry their own level, and not the pure, chaste ones. Psychologically, no one can understand a situation absolutely not until they are in the same situation.
there is no contradiction, mate! takbir! Allahu akbar(God is great)

This is called aborgation..In Islamic law "Sharia" there was gradual change in the rules and laws to suit the society in the beginnings of Islam..an example for this is whine..it was firs not banned..but later Muslims couldn't pray while drunk..and finally it became a sin..this is also true for adultery..as first the punishment wasn't stoning then it became stoning after the Islamic society was able to accept it..see this page to learn more about aborgation in both the Qur'an and Bible:http://www.islamic-awareness.org/Quran/abrogate.html

Also the stoning punishment is only for married ones but unmarried get the 100 lashes like the verse says.

And the verse you are talking about means that good Muslims should only marry good Muslims like them and that adulters shouldn't marry good believers and only adulters like them can accept living with the..but it isn't a law if you understand me.

Stoning is A Pagan Ritual, it is not Islamic, here is a Full context of what you're asking, people get whip not stoned, And the whipping are not severe and don't leave marks it is symbolic, but Adultary is almost impossible to prove, and if the person ask for forgivness after one offense you don't punish them, but even if Adultary was proven, whipping were so rare that that almost never occured :

Quranic Passaages about adultary
[4:15] Those who commit adultery among your women, you must have four witnesses against them, from among you. If they do bear witness, then you shall keep such women in their homes until they die, or until GOD creates an exit for them.*

(4:15 A woman must be witnessed by four people in the act of committing adultery on four different occasions, with four different partners to even be convicted, Adultary is almost impossible to prove unless the women is just extremely lewd and open with her adultary. That is more lax then most U.S. conviction laws on other crimes.)

[4:16] The couple who commits adultery shall be punished.* If they repent and reform, you shall leave them alone. GOD is Redeemer, Most Merciful.

If a couple commits adultary once, they can repend and be forgiven.

Repentance

[4:17] Repentance is acceptable by GOD from those who fall in sin out of ignorance, then repent immediately thereafter. GOD redeems them. GOD is Omniscient, Most Wise.

[4:18] Not acceptable is the repentance of those who commit sins until death comes to them, then say, "Now I repent." Nor is it acceptable from those who die as disbelievers. For these, we have prepared a painful retribution.
More on Adultary
[4:19] O you who believe, it is not lawful for you to inherit what the women leave behind, against their will. You shall not force them to give up anything you had given them, unless they commit a proven adultery. You shall treat them nicely. If you dislike them, you may dislike something wherein GOD has placed a lot of good.

5:5] Today, all good food is made lawful for you. The food of the people of the scripture is lawful for you. Also, you may marry the chaste women among the believers, as well as the chaste women among the followers of previous scripture, provided you pay them their due dowries. You shall maintain chastity, not committing adultery, nor taking secret lovers. Anyone who rejects faith, all his work will be in vain, and in the Hereafter he will be with the losers.

More on Adultary

[17:32] You shall not commit adultery; it is a gross sin, and an evil behavior.

[17:33] You shall not kill any person - for GOD has made life sacred - except in the course of justice. If one is killed unjustly, then we give his heir authority to enforce justice. Thus, he shall not exceed the limits in avenging the murder; he will be helped.

24:0] In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

[24:1] A sura that we have sent down, and we have decreed as law. We have revealed in it clear revelations, that you may take heed.

What you may be refering to:::

[24:2] The adulteress and the adulterer you shall whip each of them a hundred lashes. Do not be swayed by pity from carrying out GOD's law, if you truly believe in GOD and the Last Day. And let a group of believers witness their penalty.*

(Again the whipping after this impossible crime is proven, is not severe and not harsh, but more symbolic, it doesn't leave bruises, or severe whip marks, embassement is the game, not pain)

[24:3] The adulterer will end up marrying an adulteress or an idol worshiper, and the adulteress will end up marrying an adulterer or an idol worshiper. This is prohibited for the believers.

(People who have been convicted can only marry others who have been convicted of Adultary)

[24:4] Those who accuse married women of adultery, then fail to produce four witnesses, you shall whip them eighty lashes, and do not accept any testimony from them; they are wicked.

(People can't even try to make a false accustation unless they are sure, if they are found to be lying, they are punish)

[24:5] If they repent afterwards and reform, then GOD is Forgiver, Merciful.

[24:6] As for those who accuse their own spouses, without any other witnesses, then the testimony may be accepted if he swears by GOD four times that he is telling the truth.

[24:7] The fifth oath shall be to incur GOD's condemnation upon him, if he was lying.

[24:8] She shall be considered innocent if she swears by GOD four times that he is a liar.

[24:9] The fifth oath shall incur GOD's wrath upon her if he was telling the truth.

[24:10] This is GOD's grace and mercy towards you. GOD is Redeemer, Most Wise.

I pray this answers you question

LOL!!!!

Maybe it meant those who survived an islamic stone skull crushing or those who werent caught, however, I guess they would be caught the moment they sought to marry another adulter, unless they both married on the down-low.

Also, this could be a trick by sneaky Allah to smoke out the escaped adulters by tempting them to announce a marriage between adulterors.

Last possiblity is that they are allowed to marry before they are both stoned.

The marriage would take place BEFORE the stoning.

All religious are full of contradictions... Redactors are people (probably religious leaders of their time) who added things to religious documents to make them say what they want them to say. Religion in and of it self is the opposite of FAITH and the root of MOST of the world's problems. Islam, Christianity, Judaism, etc... they are all the same and all equally corrupt!

Good point. Just another reason why we need to stick with God's Word. The only place for that is the Bible.
