Once in a great while I get this thumping sensation, usually felt through my right eardrum. It would go on intermittently for up to 6 hours. It feels like some liquid is thumping against it. Does anybody know what this might be? my guess is that it might be tinnitus, but I'm not quite sure

Have you had your blood pressure checked?
Tinnitus is usually buzzing or ringing in the ears. You may have an ear infection- see your doctor.
