My daughter suddenly wants to take a sandwich to school when she never has liked sandwiches.
She also used to wear t-shirts with cute sayings such as "CIA..Cute, Intelligent, Adorable"....but now won't even look at such clothes when we shop together.
She also always loved having her hair long but now it is quite short, especially in the back.
Well at least she has a job now and she and I are still VERY close.

That's normal. She's growing up.
The t-shirts she used to wear are generally worn by 12 year olds anyway. The ones that say "FREE" or "Blonds have more fun"... all those type of shirts. Now she's into the shirts her own age, the nicer looking ones.
As for her hair... that's not really a change.. well it is.. but maybe she just got tired of her long hair always in her face, and the time it took to try it after a shower. Short hair is more manageable and easy to let dry. Some girls look better with shorter hair instead of long.
The sandwich thing....maybe she's just tired of either not eating lunch at school, or spending money to get food at lunch. The sandwich thing will move on and instead she may want gronola bars and such without the sandwich

I used to have my hair loose all the time when i went to school too, now i have almost all the time tide up even when i go to school, before i didn't pay attention to much in how i dressed but now i absolutely do , i care more now about my face , and stuff like that

Its that time of life when a mom is not so cool anymore. She is trying to "find herself" and discover her own style. Teenage girls go through this from 14 to 18. After 18 they settle down again and realize that mom is not so stupid after all.
