Communion is between you and God. Stand, sit, lie down on your side, whatever allows you to stop thinking about the world, and just GIVE THANKS for his sacrifice.

In the Catholic Church you must be in the state of grace before you go to Communion so the first step is to go to confession (do not listen to the people who say it is not important because Jesus said "Who's sins you shall forgive shall be forgiven" and also when HE, HIMSELF forgave sins and healed people HE SAID "Now go show yourself to the priest". (you probably remember that though) but, when you are in line for Communion right before you receive you should bow to Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament and when the Minister says "The Body of Christ" you reply "Amen" (or truly is what you are saying)

in the Church I attend the body and blood are passed out as there are so many unable to go to the altar, or kneel. we just sit in the pews and follow the minister's lead.

Many ways,
you can cross your arms over your chest and stick out your tonque
you can kneel with your arms crossed over your chest and stick out your tongue (or extend your hands at chest height to receive the host)
you can stand and extend your hands at chest height with elbows bend, one hand over the other
don't forget to say amen

try to remember what the significance is in partaking of this ritual. doesnt matter about all the other stuff. Jesus didnt make any one do anything special.

Say Amen when the priest gives it to you. Then go back to your seat and Kneel, then stand when the priest does (or everyone around you).
