my dad is sooo strict when it comes to guys......why are dads like this??

Because dads love their daughters and we want our daughters to learn to make good, healthy and morally sound decisions. We also know that it's not always going to happen like that so we have to take every reasonable precaution to protect our daughters from the consequences that occur out of bad or careless decisions. The consequences to girls is generally a lot greater than it is to boys who make the same stupid decisions.
The other equally if not more important factor is that dad's know what boys and men are like and what they are really thinking. Trust your father's experience and wisdom and know that he has your best interests at heart! If he's strict, it's only because he loves you and he cares.
One day you will thank him for it as long as he allows you room to grow and learn how to socialize responsibly. We don't want our daughters to grow up to be naive. It is a tricky balance though.

they might administration their daughters' lives while their daughters are 13 (you 2 are little ones for goodness sakes) and residing decrease than his roof and could be for the subsequent 5 years or so. he's the single that would probably be using her to all the dates, as neither of you are the right age to stress. and how are you even going to pay for the date? An allowance? it truly is basically mad ridiculous....do no longer date until eventually you're a minimum of sixteen. courting formerly then is pointless as ever.

Good question. I think its the male female thing. Because I am VERY protective over my son. But my daughter I am a little less demanding with (because I am a female, and her dad can worry for me). It has to do with the opposite sex. As a parent I think we are most protective of the child that is of the opposite sex. I really don't think that it has anything to do the the "Daddy's Little Girl" theory. All I know is the little home wreckers that come after my son better watch out. (lol). But I do know this, don't take it personal. It only means that your dad loves you, and that love is a jealous love. You are blessed to have a father to love you like that.

They want to be the primary man in their daughters' lives, and when another guy comes into the picture, their status feels threatened. My dad is the same way, but he tries to turn me off guys by saying "I don't care if you want to do something gross like kiss boys" but I know he really doesn't like it much. Just let your dad know he'll always be the number one man in your life and he should ease up on you. Good luck!

yur dad knows what the boy's are about [he was one once] and he loves you, wants to protect you from the bad boy's, does not want you to be hurt, so he checks them out and wants the perfect guy for you . to be safe with, wants them to be good and kind to you.
