Currently as it stands, most police departments have a policy that states that police officers can taser a citizen for just doing nothing wrong but disobeying an order. Critics are mad because more than 200 citizens have died after being tasered by the police. Many citizens want a taser policy that says tasers can only be used in deadly situations.

A taser is potentially deadly force. Only those posing serious harm to others deserve such force. An obstinant citizen pissed about being pulled over for speeding does not warrent the use of such a degree of force.

First, what does this have to do with religion?
Second, for the police to use their tazer, usually, it seems the order the person is disobeying is related to the officer's safety. Things like, get down, keep your hands where I can see them, freeze.
I would be interested in seeing the source of your statement that over 200 citizens have died from being tazered. Sounds like something that would come from a source without a great deal of respect for law enforcement. Of those 200+ people, how many of those "citizens" were suspects at the time they were tazered?
From a "fatality" standpoint, the other option might have been to shoot the suspect with a gun....................

If they all mastered a form of martial arts there would be no need for tasers. I agree with it only being used in deadly situations.

i agree. police officers should know that tazering someone has to be a situation where you have no choice. there are many situations like that, but just disobeying an order? get real. the only situation that is life threatening enough to use a tazer on the perpetrator is where the perp pulls out a weapon and begins to use it. that's my opinion. it's strong and to the point. hope ya like it...

I'd rather them reach for a taser than a gun.
