Yeah but it's also a good way to destroy your knees and ankles, especially if you're not used to running a lot. Consider using an elliptical trainer or rollerblading at least part of the time--much easier on your knees.
Also, most major studies show you'll lose more fat if you do some basic weight traning exercises along with the cardiovascular. good luck

If you can run 10 miles in a day, then you probably don't need to lose weight in the first place. I don't know many overweight people that can run that far. But theorhetically yes, running 10 miles would burn a lot of calories which= weight loss.

start with, say, 2 miles, then every week add a mile or two so your body doesnt get accustomed to running that amount. If you run 10 miles every day for like 6 months, then you wont lose weight after a while.

Well not really. No matter wat you do it WILL take some time to lose weight. But the best way to feel skinny fast is lets say you are going to the mall around 5pm ...DONT EAT lunch and only drink water...Your body will automatically suck in and look skinnier. Then when you get to the mall you can eat.

Yes, BUT that is a lot for one day, every day. How about starting out slow and working your way up. PLUS, you have to give your body a day off. So please don't RUN every single day...
Take care and good luck to you!!

Yes, I wish I could do it. I am not a good runner, so I just walk everyday.

only if you don't eat like a horse before and after. Also be aware, long distance runners usually have total knee replacement surgery in their sixties.
