Don't take it personally. People think that because no one can see them on the Internet, it gives them permission to behave badly. You've simply been selected as a victim because this person thinks (s)he can get to you. Don't let it bother you and don't react (because that is what (s)he wants). At the end of the day, when the computer is off, and you're living in the real world - the person who sent this e-mail won't matter and shouldn't matter. I'm sure that when (s)he turn his/her computer off - (s)he's not thinking about you anymore.
I think it's unfortunate that people play games like this. It is also cowardly and very immature. Indicative of someone who has no life.
