i have been friends with him fro 5 years now and we went to a middle school dance together but now we're in high school and i go to public school and he is homeschooled. his mom is super protective and when we went to the dance he was only allowed to go because my mom was vollunteering at the dance,watching us from the other side of the room. now we're in high school and i do NOT want my mom @ homecoming

Just ask him. His relationship with his mother is his problem not yours. If he really wants to go with you, he will work that out. If not, I'm sure there are other guys who would love to take you.

have your mom talk to his mom and ask her to tell his mom that nothing will happen, everything will be ok, and he'll be home at certain time.(even though that will put a damper on your night)
