Knowing that this life is temporary and I have something MUCH MUCH MUCH BETTER to look forward to! The Holy Spirit has changed me (I've let myself be submissive to it) and has made me content not with "things". but with God's abundance of grace, love and forgiveness. I am content with things that are good and holy, spiritually uplifting. God's peace gives me contentment. I just look forward to the day when I will be called home and I meet my Lord and Savior face to face!!! Glory be to Jesus Christ and AMEN!!! Come, Lord Jesus!

Jesus Christ. Christians are not promised a trouble free life here on life. We are promised persecution, temptation , tribulation, and everlasting life. Jesus warned that if he suffered and was rejected, we will be too. So why would you want or need to be a christian? Because God is a holy, just, righteous, God, who cannot overlook lawlessness, and sin. He as a good judge must punish lawbreakers. we broke the law, Jesus paid our fine. By accepting this, and confessing and forsaking my sin and putting my faith in Jesus, i am pardoned fully and freely and restored into a right relationship with God. I then serve God with all my heart. This is contentment!!! www.needgod.com.

At the moment not a lot, my hubby flew off to sleep with a teenager recently, left our church, and now we are in financial problems.....God is making me grow in dependency on him, and I am changing inside a lot as I try to find out what he wants me to learn, and I know he has promised better times ahead.....when things were normal, I got contentment out of leading my house group, singing hymns and spending time with God. Watching my 9 year old develop into a young man is great too.

Knowing that I do not go through this life journey alone. That the Lord is with me every step of the way. That one day we will cross over into eternity and live life the way God intended when he created us.

Knowing that, whatever I am going through, whatever happens to me, God is there to strengthen me. Knowing that everything in my life works out, that every disaster is a prelude to a victory. Knowing that my fate is in the hands of a God who loves and cares for me. Knowing that if I need something, God will provide it for me as He has always done and always will do.
