For the health of the mother, she should always be allowed to skip one heat between litters, and no dog should ever be bred more than 3 times in her lifetime (unless you want to emulate the puppy mills and breed them till their bodies give out and they die!)

It is best to skip the next time she comes in heat then you can breed her the second time. They can be breed the first time, but there is a bigger chance for problems and complications for both mom and pups. It is highly recommended to wait til the second heat. The mother of my dog had 2 litters before the littler with my puppy and she was accidently breed the first heat after her last pups and it killed the mother and 2 pups were still born. The vet said if they would have waited she would have made it. But it was because her body hadn't fully recovered and it caused her to become weak and she couldn't handle feeding them and stuff. So it is best to wait for mom and pups.

Depending on her heat cycle.. it can be 2 to 3 times a year. But if the dog has a C-Sect.. it's only recommended the dog be bred a total of 3 times... then spay her to avoid uterine rupture.

For the health of your dog, you shouldn't breed them everytime they go in heat. The healthiest is to breed between every two cycles.
You go and breed your dog to much, she nor the pups will be healthy. She needs to regain vitamins she's lost, and bone mass.
Be kind to her and breed her only when it's time.

Forget it. If you're waiting around for a dog to be bred again, you need help. If you want a dog that bad, go to a shelter. There are plenty of dogs there who need a home.

Up to twice a year but one is actually recommended as better for the dog.

they can breed up to twice a year, but its not good for them to breed more than once a year...they need the year to completely heal from the other litter

should be only once a year to give the mom some rest, because if you do it twice it could cause to much stress on the mom. it is possible though. ask your vet to be sure.
