With calm, gentle kindness. For a current display of this sort of behavior, look to the Amish for an example. They're doing it right.

I know that they shouldn't respond back with hatred and hostility.. They should do as God suggested if someone hit them in the left cheek, turn and give them the right cheek..

Hatred is a good note for we would want to dislike yet we do not Hate all of us look after one yet another in some unspecified time sooner or later. so some distance as hostility we are continually taught to spread the note of God to those in favor. even as human beings say the position the evidence I regularly ask why do they search for evidence in the journey that they dont believe? "lack of religion"

Matthew 5:43-45 (New King James Version)
43 “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor[a] and hate your enemy.’ 44 But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you,[b] 45 that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust.

Embrace them with LOVE always.
Feel what they are feeling in their shoes.
Albeit hard, but worth the effort, and the understanding is always good.

...patience, love, and mercy will be a fiery ember on your enemy's head.
Now if it is someone your family with hostility towards you, you better start appologising and buying some gifts.
