I'd like it to look good and thought maybee theres something online I can find, like a directory of designs. I hate the following, chinese symbols and the like, horoscopes, dragons and anything like that that is just as cliche'd or unimaginative.

I don't mean to be insulting.. .but this should come from inside you... not from one of us strangers...

If you really want it to represents you... you put on some calm music and isolate yourself in a room. Zone your self into your relaxing thoughts and then start to think what you stand for and what you personally hope to achieve...

find a way you can relate that into an image/ words... and then you have you tattoo.

Many good artists can work with you to design a tattoo exactly for you.
First of all, find an artist who's work you like, and find out when the shop is slowest. Make an appointment for a slow time and go sit with the artist and talk over what you like and what feels right.

A good tattoo artist is also and ARTIST first and foremost. Most who love their art also love to work with clients to design work that represents them uniquely.

Also, if you collect drawings and designs that have meaning for you and show them to your artist, not to copy but to get a feeling for, this will help your artist create a design for you.

How do you tell when it's right? When you look and every part of you goes 'wow, that's me exactly'- and you still do that a month or so later. If the feeling lasts, get the tattoo.

I just typed in tattoos and found this site. http://www.tattoofinder.com/ It took me years to figure out what I wanted and where. Every time I thought about what design I wanted I kept getting an image of a tattoo I had read about when I was young so that's what I went with. It's a crescent moon with 3 stars on my right ankle. I love nighttime, the moon, the stars and as it turns out it was definitely the right choice for me since I'm now studying Wicca.

Think of what is truly important to you-what you would want to say to everyone. Then think of what best illustrates the concept. It doesn't have to make sense to anyone but you.

What's really awesome is when a stranger comes up and "gets it" immediately. I think those people are probably kindreds.

People sometimes find me blunt when they ask me why I got my tattoos and I say simply "because I wanted to" but that is truly the only reason to do something like that-because you want to. Any other reason is not justification, it's looking for approval-and that is the kind of approval that can only come from yourself.

Try tattoos.com and look up some idea's of what you have in mind. Then take your idea to a professional tattoo artist and have him draw you one up, then it will be one of a kind. Don't be sheepish when having the artist draw it up, if he/she comes back with a drawing and you don't like, have them go back to the drawing table. Make sure to describe what you want in FULL detail. Good luck

I highly doubt it, since her name is too long, and he already has his children's names on the sides of his neck, so there's no room. To Rated Silent 2.0: Michelle is 15 years younger than 'Taker, not 20. And why are so concerned about Sara? For all you know, she wanted the divorce. You don't know what happened to end their relationship, so save your concern and stop judging the Undertaker.

If you want your own personal tattoo, you need to think long and Hard on what you want to express yourself in your own way... Don't let one of us oddballs make your decision for you.. you'll just regreat it later in life..

Alot of tattos on people mean something to the person. Either a life change, or memorial, aor a new transition period..

You need to get a tattoo that reflects you...its not what other people think. I have 6, including a half sleeve and they are all tattoos I designed myself...I have a Halloween themed one, because thats totally me. Tattoos are not cliche, they are only cliche if they are butterflies, coy fish, and roses...yuck. Just do what suits you.
