No salt. Baked crisps. It's rubbish. Don't they realise that obesity is not about what's available, but about something else entirely? I want to eat proper fried crisps and put salt on my chips again. Leave off my junk!

BBoyd - I am English, you numbnuts. Unfortunately for us, our questions seem to end up on your site. Probably because they are better than the American ones.

I think both sorts should be freely available , I prefer pepper to salt and really oily food makes me ill but I agree with you obesity is a different thing its a loss of control or deep emotional issue. We should be able to buy either full fat or low fat versions of anything we want !!!

I know what you mean. Since thay took the salt out of heinz products, they taste awful. I only eat these products once in a blue moon for a treat. If I want to be fat, I'd eat more. Though, I think they're just trying to improve the health of the nation. I guess it'll cost the British NHS less in the long run. For however long the NHS in Britain lasts....

Your right food doesn't taste the same, they aren't giving us a choice. At the end of the day people are obese because they eat and eat and don't exercise and thats their problem. But the Government can't help but stick their noses in. And have you noticed the healthier you try to be the more expensive it is

Food is food to me. Salt or no salt, Fat or no Fat. It really doesn't matter because what's important to me is I am still eating and I am thankful for it. Other countries have no food and they can't complain. We are all lucky that we have "Favorite food" because not everyone could say that.

"we tend to overlook a lot of the things we have, and b***h at the littlest thing"

Hi lizzie, you need to come over to my house. I only use fresh foods, not into tinned or frozen and as much salt as you like. I wont even use Vegetable oil in my chip pan, best beef dripping. My mum who is 87, still makes our home made bread and pies.
I'm pleased to hear of someone else who wont accept the cardboard food churned out to satisfy the health freaks............

Shop at Whole foods, buy chips with good oil, and salt, you might get fat but it would be in a healthy way at least.

Less heart disease and cancer.

You get the money back by having fewer operations later.
