THe fact that you are wondering is a good sign, seriously ask your doctor if there is a test you can take - you may be a bit developmentally stunted but mentally you are fine.... there are many individuals who live active and productive lives with this diagnosis- I hope for you the best

First of all Mental illness and mental retardation are 2 different things . Mental illness would be a person that suffers from bi-polar disorder , schizophrenia, depression .Mental retardation would be a person with Downsyndrome , and an Iq lower than 70

As you get older, you'll learn to accept every little thing about yourself, even the parts that are retarded! Though, I feel that this might have more to do with self esteem. Go easier on yourself, try hard, and things will work out for the best.

I think it is terrible to ask if you have a learning disability because you do silly things. This is an insult to people with disabilities. Your behavior is probably a result of patterning yourself after one or both parents. You didn't even mention your grades or difficulty in learning. You need to be more careful insulting the disabled. They are protected by law. You could get yourself into trouble trying to be cute.

Lots of people do silly things sometimes. And lots of people overreact to things. You're in the more rare group of people who do both.
