Yes, starvation and heart failure are very common. Because you are depriving yourself of food, you are depriving yourself of vitamins and minerals, and taking vitamins, will not supplement your diet enough. Because of this, you expose yourself to other health issues that can lead to death. However, I have a best friend who is anorexic, and I have know her for about 20 years. She still has eating issues, and she is almost 40. However, she does have some very serious health problems. Her doctor told her that he has no idea why she is still alive. She still lives with her parents. And although she is a size 0, she has never been happy with her looks.

Yes you can die from anorexia. Inside your body is dieing cause your body needs food and if it doesn't have food you start to lose weight and you get dizzy a lot. Then your body will get into a bonny stage and then you could die cause there won't be any more fluids in you.

Yes, when I was in high school a good friend of mine went into the hospital for over 6 months and was etremely close to death.
