Lust means you just want to have sex with somebody. Love means you just want to be with a person, not for the sex. Kind of like how you love a parent.

Very simply put - lust is physical and love is emotional. The ideal is to have a lasting combination of both.

When you love a woman, you really care about her well-being, her feelings and maybe some other things. That emotion and concern takes precedence over all other things involving her, including sex.
If when you see her, your first thoughts are of how badly you'd love to bang her...that's lust!
