dating is trail; where as relationship is real.

Ohhh geeze the world!!!!
dating - no committment no "you are the only one". Dating is when you go out with someone but you are free to see other people (and you should!!!!)
relationship - there has been a converstation about being monogamous with each other - neither one will be dating other people.
now.. a lot of women use these interchangably and screw everything up!!!
but.... look at it this way dating = having sex with anyone you want
relationship = having sex with only one person.
women are always looking for a relationship.. men are always (until the reach around 30 or so) looking to date.
BIIIIIGGG difference!

Dating is, you go out with someone every now and then and you might date multiple people at around the same time (like you go out with Bob Friday and Joe Sat.)
A "relationship" generally implies that neither of you are seeing anyone else.

Dating isn't committed...you can date multiple people at a time. A relationship is more commitment, you shouldn't date multiple people at a time (even though it happens).

Dating, two people go have some fun together, have some good times with mutual friends, share activities.
Relationship, two people share more than just fun, their personal lives start to weave together in some way, where they share expenses, or a car, or a child, or where they live.

exactly... whats the difference? dating, you talk, you hug, kiss, hold each others hands, have $*x, and its basically the same with relationships... only, in relationship, theres this thing commitment... i guess...
