If people put as much effort into their marriage as they do their "DREAM WEDDING" there would be far less divorce.

I had the ultimate wedding. My husband and I bought a new car, drove to Vegas and got married at the drive thru wedding chapel. The Little White Wedding Chapel. We stayed at the New York, New York and had a blast the entire week. It was great. No worries about the cake being right, the dresses and tuxes looking good and fitting correct, will the limo and driver show up on time and instead of the other expenses that come with a wedding, we had that much more money to spend on our honeymoon.

I am getting my dream wedding in May 2007. The location is very historic and beautiful. I have a beautiful white wedding dress. The ceremoney is at St. Fransis Chapel the reception is at the Music Room and we have 170 people coming to the wedding. Go to this web site www.missioninn.com and click on the viurtual tour and see the rooms yourself.. i have a live band playing and a tri violin, chello and organist at the cpael.. all our family and friends are coming... so i can honestly say this is my dream wedding .... with my Prince Charming : )

This may sound strange, but - if I ever get married - I think I'd prefer a Las Vegas style novelty wedding to a traditional White Wedding event.
I think that a Las Vegas wedding - though stereotypically 'tacky' - would be more personal and fun, and would be more about me, my partner and the relationship, than about other people and being a big social event that belonged to other people.
Also, since many modern marriages end in divorce, at least a novelty wedding would treat the occasion in a comic and light-hearted way! And it'd be cheaper!
I think I'd like a Goth wedding. That'd be fun.

My dream wedding would be in a church!!! I would love to have the center aisle decorated with flowers and candles all the way down. Then there would be an arch over the Altar to stand underneath with flowers and white lights to make it all glowy and pretty. Our wedding pictures would be taken in a park with a pretty lake or waterfall or down at the beach with the sunsetting behind us!!!!
My reception would be outside on a nice big lawn but inside a tent that was completely decorated in flowers, white lights and it would just be simple yet elegant.

Either out on a beach in traditional wedding attire or outside where you have a gazebo, chairs for the guests on a lawn & a leaved archway where the couple walk through. If you've seen Clueless or Meet the Parents they have a gazebo there.
But I would have my wedding abroad probably Portugal or Brazil.
