It drives me nuts: I get drunk and then I can't remember. I'm not talking about heavy drinking, either. I'm talking about having two or three glasses of wine and losing it. Any suggestions?

First and foremost: becareful with whom you drink! Try different alcohols, vodka is good. Start simple and work your way up. but always have someone around you that you trust with your life. Seriously.

Are you on any medications? Antihistamines, anti-depressants, pain killers, muscle relaxers and tranquilizers are the well known- culprits for enhancing the effects of alcohol, but many other meds (including over the counter meds) can have the same effect. Even if you don't feel very drunk, combining some meds with alcohol can wipe out your memory. If that is not the case, then I agree with most everyone else, cut down or eliminate the alcohol altogether. And if you do choose to drink in spite of your memory lapses, make sure you are ALWAYS with someone you trust with your life that knows that you have this tendency.

How does one get drunk on two or three glasses of wine? Are you maybe forgetting how much you actually drank. Anyway, that happens to me but most times whoever it was that I was with can jog my memory and then I begin to remember. I hate it when I lie to someone when I'm drunk because then I can never remember. For example, if a guy was flirting with me or asked me to go home with him and I lied and said I was married but then forgot and later told him I've been divorced for 13 years. It's a little embarrassing!

You can't remember probably be cause you have drunk more than you thought you had,if this is the case then please take a good look at yourself and ask what the hell is going on here, are you drinking too much? if so you have my sympathy but you need to go and have a chat with your Dr,as there is plenty of help out there if you need it,but first you have to admit you have a problem, and i wish you good luck, but if I'm wrong i am very sorry to have got the wrong end of the stick

Well I guess that depends on what it is your forgetting. If you are forgetting the bad day you had - GREAT! If it is something more serious, I am guessing it is, then you may need to stop drinking for a bit and see if there isn't an underlying problem that exists. You may just be one of those people who can't hold your liquor but could be an imbalance some where.

Try eating before you drink...........or at least line your stomach by drinking milk. Unless you have an extremely low tolerence you really shouldn't blank out after two or three glasses of wine...............mind you, it does rather depend on the size of the glass..........you sure there're not huge ones which hold the contents of a bottle?

Yea i would say dont drink. Because wine does get you drunk fast. Or you can drink more to build ur tolerance. Either way alcohol effects your intuition, motor skills, and memory.. so there is no way you can drink alcohol and not be affected one way or another. So your a light weight it seems. That's my only advice I can give you.

You are a light weight, my max is 6 glasses. I have a friend who as a limit of 3. We both never exceed our limits. Try to keep track of the number of drinks you are having. Also try switching to beer or other drinks.

You might also need to consult with a doctor.

You don't want too many of those moments- I knew a Vietnam vet who used to say he got so drunk he could not remember if he did the screwing or if he got screwed in a whore house- moral of the story is you never know what can happen since you don't remember

Just pretend that you remember everythingyou did and act like your not embarrassed about it and that you would have done it even if you were sober. Or just don't drink wine - try vodka or something. Wine just gets people way too drunk to quickly!!
