The west coast; oregon, wa, and cali have the best options for flavorful IPA's, and for microbrews in general.

Some of the greatest NW breweries include Deschutes, Stone, Rogue, & the Elysian.

I have been to all of the breweries and have tasted most of their beers except for the Rogue which has many many options.

The Stone bewery makes what I think is the best IPA around. Crisp and hoppy, but it doesnt tank you immediatly. The color is great and drinking a 22 wont put you out.

Hope this helps!

Cheers.

Arcadia IPA. It's a microbreww made in Battlecreek, Michigan. I love IPAs and most people I know that drink "real" beer love it, too. I disagree with the person who said Dogfishhead. Their IPAs are NOT good. It is one of my favorite breweries, so it does hurt a little to say that, but I would get the Aprihop beer that they make- it's hoppy with an apricot aftertaste and not at all sweet (my fave summer beer).

They are all pretty similar I think,

Harpoon is good and is cheap, the English ones slightly better, the ones in India are much better, Taj Mahal, King Fisher.

IPA , Inda Pale Ale was invented to preserve the beer, they raised the etoh content a bit and made a good brew I think.

Guinness is better and around the same price, slightly less alcohol for the money though.

Personally, I think IHOP is much tastier than an IPA. (especially with the blueberry syrup)
