No, I believe the are all in Pennsylvania (Lancaster county) because that is where they originally settled and being that they are very strict with their culture, I don't think they will ever leave that area.

The closest i believe to Alabama would be the Amish in Lawrenceburg TN between that town and Ethridge. There is a large Amish community there most of the larger stores have special hitching posts set up for the Amish wagons.

They really do live without modern convienences like cars, tv, radio,......deodorant.

I live near Alabama and went to college in AL. I saw several mennonites. I don't know about Amish. There is an Amish community in Ethridge, TN.

I don't believe so. But I do know that there are mennonites, who are pretty close. Except they use cars.
