i recently had to reinstall windows, not a coplete erase, and it has given me a new programs folder but i still have the old one! is there anyway i can make it use the old one instead of the new or make it use the old applications.

no u cannot because all programms has its subordinates files in windows folder which is not there(i guess) so reinstall all programms and delete old folder of program files.

Don't worry. Is absolutely normal. I'm italian and i use the italian version of Windows. I have a Program Files folder and a Programmi one too.

You have to re install programs so they will work, but your files pictures music still good you could use them.

try replacing this with that.
OR try cut-pasting the old into the new.
OR the same but only with the contents, think would work best.
