who in world is with their first love and for how long and is there anyone out there married your first love how was it?

I was with my first love from the age of 15 to 25. We broke up 6 months ago. Although he did the initial breaking up, I am glad that we decided to end it. We have a 20 month old son and are friends for the benefit of him. I never thought I would get over our relationship, but moved on 5 months after we split. We never got married nor engaged (which should have been a warning sign enough) And neither of us cheated whilst we were together, which is a credit to us both.
My parents however, have been together since they were 15 and 16 respectively and married @ 19. They are still together @ age 45. I wouldnt say they are happy, but they do have happy times.
I dont think it matters if you marry your first love, your second love or even your twentieth love, just learn from each relationship and dont make the same mistakes twice. Just be happy who you are with.. cause you never know if your soulmate is just around the corner.

Dated my first love for 5 years in HS, married for 6.5, and he cheated on me with a skeezy 18 year old. I've found my love now in my second marriage and we're totally happy together. The first one isn't always the best one.

Although I am not with him anymore, he still crosses my mind every day. I will always have a special place for him in my heart. My fiance knows this and is fine with it, as he feels the same about his first love. We were together for 2 years and never got to say goodbye.

I'm not with my first love..it was gr8 tho but didn't last unfortunatly..u know jealousy messed things up..sorry..
